I got this book because it was free and the description sounded good. The thing I liked about this book was that the hero was French, that was new.
The heroine has epilepsy and has to have a service dog with her and that was new as well. I liked those different aspects to the story. However it wasn't as good as I was hoping. This book is just the first part of 3 books about the same couple. So you're going to end up spending 6 bucks for 1 story. It was okay but I didn't like it enough to spend money for the other parts. What happened to stand alone novels anymore. Everything is in multiple parts and it just feels like it's another way to milk more money from us the consumers.

4.5stars This is a contemporary MMA fighter romance. We are introduced to the main characters in this book. I normally only read stand alone books or wait to read them until all the books in the series are out. During college Raleigh drank at a party, got hurt and started having seizures. Seizures are frightening for those that have them and their loved ones. This I have personal (family) history with. Mace is a power full fighter who aims to win. They are both at a low point in their lives and don't want commitment but for very different reasons. We find out some of the reasons in book 1 but you need to read all 3 books to see who survives the mob and who doesn't. I enjoyed all 3 books even though I'm not big on this genre. I purchased this book online when it was free but received books 2 & 3 from the author solely for an honest opinion. Very enjoyable and I look forward to reading more of Ms Blue's books in the future.
Wow Ride is thrilling, sexy , suspseful and beautiful. Mase is our lead male characte, he is French, if you read Hold he made an appearance as Zeke Powell's sparring partner. This Frenchman will leave you breathless, he is dark,dangerous but so sweet and stubborn. Ride takes place where Hold ended. Ride is not a light book, it contains some heavy storyline. The Russian mob, GWG members along with Great Wolves MC are among the secondary characters that make appearances in Ride.
The leading lady of the story is Raleigh, she is one tough character and you will fall in love with her will to live. Her story is not pretty but she is a fighter. She will bring Mase to his knees. This is good story that will put you though all the emotions. Happy Reading!!!
There aren't enough superlatives in existence to say how much I loved this story! An MMA fighter with a little, powder puff for a dog?! Oh, my melting heart! That's what snagged my attention to begin with - the love story is what kept it and demanded I read it through without stopping. Mace and Raleigh are fantastic together and their chemistry is beyond HOT! There are obstacles that both lovers are facing yet they fight to get through them together. They've both been hurt by life and they both yearn for things they each think they can't have. The ending is a cliffhanger as this is a 3-part series. I have to read parts 2 and 3 to find out what happens! I recommend this story to any romance lover unreservedly!
Mace Alois is a fighter in hiding. We first meet him when he is helping to train the Preacher's Son Zeke during the Hold Trilogy. With Zeke gone, eyes are starting to travel to Mace. He was undefeated before he seemed to drop off the face of the earth. Now he has reappeared at the GWG to help fighters with their ground game. The only thing he cares about right now is his dog Estelle.

Raleigh has just recently moved into an apartment with her service dog, when all of a sudden her elderly neighbor thrusts some dog named Estelle at her begging her to watch the cute little thing while the owner is away. The elderly lady has a family emergency and Raleigh can't stand to leave the little thing stranded. A couple weeks later she finally meets the owner of Estelle, Mace. As pissed off at him as she is for "abandoning" his beloved dog, she can't help but notice how hot he is and the sexy as hell French accent he has. When he offers to pay her back, Raleigh sees it as a way to get to know her hot new neighbor and maybe get to experience life again--life that she has been hiding from for the past year.

As Mace and Raleigh's relationship heats up, Mace's past catches up with him. He's not willing to have another person hurt because of him. What is to happen in this new relationship? Will he be able to keep history from repeating itself, or is he doomed to become a puppet to the mob once again?

I love reading about the GWG fighters and their women. So much intensity and passion both in the ring and out. Unlike the Hold series, Mace does not crave the spotlight like Craddock--in fact he's trying to avoid it. Makes for an interesting read since one hero is so different from the other. If you liked the Hold Trilogy, you'll love this one as well!

I did not realize this was a 3-part story when i started this book. So not one, but two cliffhangers? Maybe I'd be down for that if they were free, but I'm currently 7% into this book, and the spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors are KILLING ME. No way would I pay to suffer through three books like this! Misspellings started on PAGE TWO, I kid you not! I am so incredibly frustrated. Does ANYONE hire editors anymore?! The further I get, the worse the errors become. I don't even think they're trying at this point.

If authors want to sell books, they need to start putting out quality. We are READERS! That means if you can't spell, don't know the difference between basic words like then/than, or can't understand how commas are supposed to work, YOU NEED AN EDITOR!

Quickest way to lose readers? Be great at storytelling but awful at the rest of it, and think there's some magical way you can wing it and maybe we won't notice. Spoiler alert We notice, and we won't be buying book 2 or 3 or 578 if this is how you do business. It's insulting to your readers to publish something you didn't even attempt to edit, and then expect people to pay money for it. Why should we waste our time if the author obviously didn't think it was worth theirs?
